The OPFOR Assault Armor Carrier is a paradigm shift in approach to tactical gear.

This vest allows you to truly create the ideal configuration for any application. Finally, a base platform for you to tailor the form and fit specifically to your body. The entire system is designed to give you maximum versatility with the ENTIRE surface being loop velcro. Combined with the laser cut molle, vertical and horizontal 1/2” hardware cuts allowing application of the majority of buckles, hardware, FIRSTSPEAR©TUBES attachments, cordage and any other rigging medium you can think of, if you dream it you can do it! Use all the other parts and pouches you already have in a new and ultra creative way!

Two Is One.

One system, two color configurations, endless possibilities. Extreme energy and engineering went into the development of this concept to allow you to quickly build and reconfigure the composition. You will have a Coyote Brown platform and a Black platform at your immediate disposal. Training, FoF, enviornmental/AOR changes will not impede your ability to blend in or meet uniform needs. Always look cool, and don’t be that guy that sticks out.

Construction and Components

The entire system is constructed from FIRSTSPEAR© 6/12 Laser Laminate 500D material. This strong and unique fabric has low pile loop velcro laminated onto 500D Cordura. It is ideal for laser cutting, weight reduction and creative composition. I chose this material for my vest to give the user total control on how they want to fit and use the vest.

The shoulder straps are independent of the plate bag. The “Lobster Claw” design of 2 Hook Velcro tabs enveloping the attachment field gives strength, but more importantly it allows you to place the mount point EXACTLY where your body calls for it. Endless positions and angles are easily achieved, yaw and depth and additions of any quick release hardware of your choosing is accommodated. The shoulder strap is an innovative design that attaches to the rear facing surface and the interior surface of the plate bag. This gives maximum comfort as you have uninterrupted contact along your back. The “top” surface strap allows you to tune the pull angle on the plate and helps with weight distribution and concealment.

The Cummerbund is 10” of elastic travel, double walled with laser cut laminate attachment with FIRSTSPEAR©TUBES provided. There is a M4 mag/radio sized cell on both sides of the cummerbund. The laminate attachment points will allow 1 inch/1.5 side release/Cobra buckles or many other closure options.

PLATE BAG SIZING

The reversible color plate bags are identical in laser cut design and dimension. The bags are intended to house a 10.25” wide, < 1” thick and multi curve plate. If you have a thinner 10.5” plate, there is room in the pocket. The plate bag lays flat at 11” of material. The plate bag length is adjustable for over 14” in height.

This allows for MOST LARGE and MEDIUM Plates available, but measure and confirm your armor. Most 10 × 12/Thick/Triple Curve/Swimmer/SAPI will be perfect use.
